Towering edifices stands elevated,
Its brick and mortar reeks in wealth.
Inside dwells a populace, unburdened of most worries.
The fervent sun and torrid rains,
along with dust of time,
has stripped the facade of its resplendence.
The luster cannot wane,
The artisans are summoned.
Back breaking restoration of glory begins.
Unsteady scaffolding holds crystal ball.
It could be a tale of tomorrow,
or a morbid story bathed in blood, blend into past.
Inside under chandelier's glow,
Fine clothed inhabitants feast,
Consumed in passionate intoxication.
Outside vortex of misfortune strikes,
causing a meteoric fall;
Another lifeless slide into oblivion, but not many rue!!

Autumn's epiphany
Ten springs back,
The mirror reflected honey suckle.
The albatross skin,
knew not whats freckle.
The pearly smile then,
lurched many a heart.
Now its a sallow tale
of saccharined tart.
The mellifluous voice too
is a victim of erosion,
The once cascading tresses,
Is waning in full motion.
The progressive midriff,
is a testimony of plight.
Someday I will beat the scale,
is a dream I delight.
The golden heart,
the razor sharp intellect,
Is a spoof of past,
I wince as I deflect.
What if the milk of human kindness,
gets totally depleted?
Leaving residue of sour yogurt,
completely bacteria infested?
