Phantasmagoria

On a lazy afternoon, thinking of my old friend Mel's remark about independence......
Usually I do not rhyme, but today just fancied....its certainly not the best.

The stretch of black ribbon of road,
lay with abundant promise.
I tread with dainty gait to yonder,
Nothing seems amiss.

The prodigal stars splash its glitter,
The full moon dance in splendor.
The lilac pervade all its aura,
Drenching me asunder!

The glow worm ignite my racy blood,
The mid summer night beckoning,
Liberty stood across in wanton,
I forlonely pondering.....

The euphoric night is but a dream,
The chains of bondage mocks.
I succumb meekly, to my torments.
While my world havocs!

I'm blown away. It is absolutely beautiful.
Hey you've been blogging since 2007 and never mentioned it before. That is not nice!!

I will read the others at leisure. These are not the quick read types. :)

Very well written...do keep writing.
